4-H Club Enrollment
Youth may enroll at 4-H anytime to become a club member! Check out the calendar and come to one of our meetings to see what you are missing.
Please be aware that the Sure Shots Shooting Sports Club is no longer accepting new members. If you wish to become a member of the Sure Shots, you must wait until next year's enrollment meeting.
Washington County Youth Fair
Attention all kids in Washington County who are in grades K-12! It's time to get your exhibits ready for the WCYF to be held in February. Check out the fair website for all the information.
Pre-registration is required and due February 1st.
Prudential Scholarship
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program recognizes middle and high school grade level students solely on the basis of volunteer work in ther communities. One high school students and one middle school student in each of the 50 state and DC will be named State Honoree in February 2010. Winners recieve $1000, a silver medallion and an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC, with a parent or guardian. Applications are available online at http://www.prudential.com/spirit or from the 4-H Office.
PC 4-H Club Wins State Honors
Members of the Project Challenge 4-H club have worked over nine months to learn about landscaping design and to create a learning garden for their club.
As a result of their hard work, their Learning Garden placed 3rd in the state in the Epcot School Garden Contest. They were also named one of the top five Community Pride projects for the 2008-2009 4-H year and were recognized at State 4-H Congress in Gainesville.

Sure Shots Earn State Titles!
Congratulations to the Senior and Intermediate Sure Shots Team who brought home an impressive stack of championship titles from the 4-H State Shotgun Match held in March.

Seniors include Jamey Hayes, Blake Gates, Daniel King and Tyler Imke. They brought home the following titles: 2009 Overall Champions, 1st place team skeet and 1st place team trap. Jamey Hayes place 1st in trap, 3rd in skeet and was named 2009 High Overall Champion. Daniel King earned 1st place in skeet while Tyler Imke place 5th in skeet.
Intermediates include John Michael Walsingham, Morgan Locke, Tyler Daniels. They brought home the following titles: 2009 Overall Champions, 1st place team skeet and 3rd place team trap. John Michael Walsingham placed 1st in skeet and 4th place overall. Morgan Locke placed 6th overall, 8th place in skeet and 7th place in trap. Tyler Daniels placed 3rd in skeet.
